Feed Me Protegé Zeros Comes Outta the Gate Swingin'

'Space Noir' is like 'The Big Sleep' meets '2001: A Space Odyssey'

Feed Me is a man of strong opinions, so when he puts his Sotto Voce label behind a release, it means there's something goin' on. The latest name to release on the imprint is Chicago's Zeros, and his first endeavor, an LP titled Space Noir, is a high-brow electro treatise on noir film imagery and futurism.

"When you're writing for a long time, there's often intense feelings of isolation and detachment from the world and people around you. You begin to feel like the main character in your own story," he tells THUMP. "I wanted to tell the story of the liquored up detective punching keys on a typewriter, silhouetted behind frosted glass, but with a musician and a keyboard instead."

We've got the exclusive on the track "Type." One listen and you can hear the Feed Me relation along with an adventurous flair for sound design and style. "Type" was a song born out my curiosity with making progressive music," Zeros continues. "I feel the track represents a lot of traditional elements one might expect out of a dance song, but in a slightly atypical way. I remember the song being particularly fun to write as I never once stopped to challenge what it was , it was just pure joy from start to finish."

It is for us as well. Find Zeros on FB // Soundcloud
