Left to Right: Jb, Jeroen, Tom, Marc en ChéHerder first came on my radar via Dutch operatic black-metal duo Urfaust, who combine gothic soaring vocals with the aethetic of black metal. A truly original band, Herder's ex-bassist Blitzer put me onto this stoner/doom project while on a short stint of US dates. They rip. As does their new LP Gods which you can stream in full for the first time below, ahead of their April 22nd release date.Don't be fooled by the name Herder as a soft, lilting band to play while tending to your farm. They'll rip your face off. Gods bangs, and Herder truly is harder.
