Remember when "Frankenstorm" became a regular part of internet vocabulary thanks to 2013's Hurricane Sandy? Recall when the strongest hurricane ever recorded hit Mexico in October? Weather experts say that this winter will almost definitely dose us with weather patterns that can only be described as "weird." Downpours in the drought-ridden west and an icy chill tickling Texas are just a couple examples from a NOAA report earlier this year. Not to mention we on the east coast would be wise to prepare for ever more jacked-up storms due to upcoming El Niño season. Luckily Nicolaus Wegner just dropped a new edition of his mesmerizing Stormscapes series, giving us a glimpse into the roiling skies we may be facing soon. "Stormscapes 3 is for those that enjoy the visual aspect of our beautifully unique Blue Marble's fascinating weather, or those wishing to experience elemental nature in some of its most surreal and chaotic forms," he writes on Vimeo. Check out the video below—and don't forget to bring your umbrella.
