Float Through a Fractal Temple in a Stunning CGI Video

3D designer Julius Horsthuis’ latest fractal short is an “agnostic” experience.

As notable for its variety as it is for scale and sheer oddity, Julius Horsthuis’ fractal work is a thing to behold. After capturing Amsterdam with photogrammetry and fractalizing it in a variety of virtual camera angles, Horsthuis now turns his attention to a single floating virtual camera adrift through a surreal temple of Gaudían proportions.

Titled Could There Be Other Explanations?, Horsthuis' video is as luminously colorful as ever, full of impossibly shaped fractal structures. But it is the single shot through this surreal and alien cathedral that is the real treat. It’s all very Tron meets Jodorowsky and Moebius’ psychedelic science fiction comic, The Incal, and you can check it out below:
