Go Out On a Limb with Animated Garden Wallpaper

Katie Scott and James Paulley teamed up to create an hypnotic LCD wallpaper.

In our age of floor-to-ceiling windows and exposed brick as far as the eye can see, wallpaper gets a bit of a bad rap. But tacky though some of it is, wallpaper is pretty much art you can line your house with—and what’s cooler than that? Illustrator Katie Scott and motion graphics designer James Paulley teamed up to make some thoroughly modern wallpaper that won’t clash with your exposed steel beams. They created an animated wallpaper for the London office of advertising and PR firm Publicis. "The animation loops slowly over ten minutes, with the idea that each time someone walked past they would likely see the plants in a different stage of growth,” Scott tells The Creators Project. "There are some very subtle movements and interactions between the plants that only a handful of people may have noticed, which I like the idea of.” Check out the animation below.
