Let's Make These Daft Punk LEGOs a Reality

Only 5,000 more supporters are needed to turn the Robots into colored bricks.

"I propose a Daft Punk set, that would introduce the Robots to LEGO's world as minifigures. The set should include instruments (as pictured, maybe turntables, sequencers, mixers, controllers and a guitar for robot rocking), a simple stage with simple lighting and speakers. Having the Robot Helmets and some new printed tiles with instruments would open the door to all the custom options," so begins Autorazr's proposal on LEGO Ideas, a site that lets colored-brick enthusiasts propose ideas for new LEGOs.

With nearly 5,000 supporters, the intrepid campaign, started in May, may very well soon see Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter become buildable blocks. Says LEGO, “This project is speeding and it isn’t stopping. The project didn’t just get lucky, the detail and thought behind the project speaks for itself.” While the proposal must first reach 10,000 supporters to receive full consideration, we're already getting that kind of feeling we've waited so long for.
