Who knew playing with colored blocks would be still be fun well into your 20s? Game designer Arya Bakhsheshi did.

A new, first-person spatial 3D puzzle game feels like Minecraft if it were dipped in a Mondrian painting. It's called ColorCubes, and it's by game developer Arya Bakhsheshi. The goal is to navigate a desolate, multicolored maze of doors and small rooms, advancing through each stage by organizing sets of different sized cubes into their corresponding, color-coded, grooves. The player opens doors by matching the blocks with their appropriate square alcoves. Once all the proper marks are hit and your cubes are in the right slots, you move on to the next level, and ColorCubes rewards you with music tracks from veteran minimalist composer Bruno Sanfilippo and disco funk master Mr Mitch Murder.

Its is all about simplicity. It strives for minimalism. The levels are barren and glazed, the shapes are planar, and the rules transparent, making for hours of fun. Check out ColorCubes below:

ColorCubes was downloaded over 1000 times within the first five days it was published. You can download the game for free at Gamejolt.
