Digitally designing cyberpunk stained glass, artist Ivi Mo combines analog and virtual techniques to make trippy portraits and landsapes. Posted on Instagram, the latest is a drugged-out version of Edvard Munch's The Scream. Shortly before that is da Vinci's The Mona Lisa, complete with a third all-seeing eye and peace sign knuckles, plus a whole army of illustrations featuring little green men, Egyptian hieroglyphics, comatose dreams, cyborg iPhones with apps for the opposite of Facebook, and inner peace. His work, which recently showed at the Solar Flux Festival, is dripping with symbols of conspiracy, superstition, enlightenment, the Beatles, and Ikea instructions. "All my artwork is based on spirituality with mystical themes inspired from the inner eye," he says on his website. "I use vibrant colors and complex patterns done by mixed-media, combining both analog ink and digital vector. The final result is finished on a large-scale canvas."
