In April, the 3D-printed stop-motion short Bears on Stairs strummed the internet's collective heartstrings with its lifelike portrayal of a bear inelegantly romping up a never-ending staircase. Filmmaker Fin Crowther was inspired enough by the innovative animation to bring to life his own version of the bear's distant, 3D printed cousin, the mountain lion.In his fierce, minute-long riff on the stop-motion animation process, Crowther captures the feline's ferocious run cycle in ten endlessly loping frames. He banged out the final product in 24 total hours of work, using only student access 3D modeling software and his university's 3D printer.Check out the full video below, as well as some behind-the scenes images from Crowther's building process:Click here to check out more of Fin Crowther's animation work on Vimeo.Related:3D-Printed Bears Lead Heart-Warming Stop Motion ShortWatch A Vibrant Short Entirely Made From 3D-Printed ZoetropesArtist Uses 85 3D Printed Figurines To Create A Film Without Any Film
