For all the lucky fans that caught Arcade Fire’s Saturday night set at Coachella this year, you watched as cascades of LED beachballs were released into the crowd during the band’s encore performance of “Wake Up.”Director Chris Milk (who the band previously worked with on “The Wilderness Downtown”) spawned the idea for the surprise ball drop and interactive visual performance, and with the help of ESKI and Moment Factory, was able to control the LEDs and IR transmitters to light paint kaleidoscopic patterns all over the unsuspecting crowd.
