As the founder of Strike Gently Co, I deal in pins and patches daily. The Creators Project asked me to pull together a weekly roundup of the best newly-released pins. Most of these will probably sell out. If you like them, smash that “add to cart” button. Every Wednesday, you can head to the bottom of this article for an exclusive discount code so you can keep your pin game sharp.

New year, new you. Right? What does that mean? It means decking out all of your Hip Lifestyle Garments with lots of Hip Lifestyle Accessories. Because you’re from Brooklyn, or LA, or Portland, and you’re not like everyone else, check out these great pins from companies who are not Slaves To The Corporate Machine, either.

Bbllowwnn is a pillar in the pin community, having amassed a large audience by sharing posts for free for whoever wants them. They helped me get attention when I needed it, and for this I am grateful! This pin is also cool as all hell, just look at it. It’s one of the best designed and vividly colored pins I’ve ever seen. Definitely gonna grab one of these to support them.

I only call New York City "New York Shitty." Why? It sucks. It was shitty in the 70s and then was colonized by a bunch of trust funders and now everyone who moves here to imitate their heroes too ends up sucked under the sweet street sweeper wheels of global capitalism. Also, the L train is packed with herbs. I’ll wear this pin proudly until I grow the balls to move somewhere less pretentious.

Dorrarium always ends up on these lists because they design some of the most elegant pins out there. I love all of these designs and wish I got them as gifts for my family instead of Visa Gift Cards.

Leisure deserves more props. Starting a whole brand beyond pins is a really expensive and hard thing to do. They’ve done it well and have some great pieces up, including this pin. Go check out their other shit too.

Pinlord is like the Tony Soprano of the whole pin community and has the highest quality shoutout page of anyone, by far. Whenever he releases a pin, he usually knocks it out of the park. Despite him already having plenty of Instagram Fame, I’m giving him a shoutout here because hey, Eduardo!
