Maybe you don't know it yet, but Claude Violante is part of the seven or eight things that can make a human happy on this planet. This French electronic producer boasts an eclectic resume: she released a stunning EP three years ago, on Tsunami-Addiction, which includes the massive "Your Way;" she saved a few lives in filthy Parisian basements playing "Dub be Good to Me" and "Theme From S-Express" in front of totally jaded crowds; she did created stunning remixes for French underground bands such as Trésors and La Chatte (which is, incidentally, one of John Waters' favorite acts). She also has an electro-pop project called Haussmann who only released one single—the louche "Boys Like Us"—which has been featured everywhere in France, from major motion picture movies to primetime commercials. All of which means her upcoming EP Your Heart Is Weak (out on 7.7 via Atlas Chair / Tsunami-Addiction) will certainly find its way to the top of your pile.
