In his latest bout of creative CGI, sought-after ad photographer Mike Campau skirts the line between portaiture and abstract art. Amorphous, abstract bodies inhabit two-piece suits, khaki's and denim in part two of his conceptual series Living Sculptures. This graphic update is designed not just, "to give human personality and activity to an otherwise nondescript structure"—as in the original project's description—but to explore a "more dramatic and sophisticated approach to the concept."

By conforming to the photography standards he's learned through years in the ad biz, Campau complements the strangeness of his subject matter—it almost seems normal that a tentacled man with a blue, pinecone-shaped head might have wandered into his studio that morning.
